A chef friend once showed me this trick, and I really like the way it looks in a Carbonara. The different textures are also divine.
PLEASE NOTE – this recipe builds on our meat free Carbonara, here. It’s dead easy, and once you’ve made it, you simply add the below ingredients.
1 tbsp Olive & Seed Oil Blend
1. Add prosciutto to medium-low oil. Let the ham fry until it is crispy and crinkled.
2. Remove from oil and drain.
3. Add to freshly prepped Carbonara.
Cook’s Note – you can replace the butter in the basic Carbonara recipe with the frying oil and rendered fat of the ham.
